Gonorrhea throat problem cannot be detected a usual strep throat swab test. Treatment of this condition is done with oral antibiotics. Either different combination of antibiotics may be prescribed or in some cases an injection may also be prescribed. In many cases a person suffering from gonorrhea may also suffer from Chlamydia and so treatment for the same may also be needed.

In case a person suspects a possible gonorrhea throat problem it is advisable to get prompt treatment. Also it is advisable to avoid sexual contact till the infection is resolved. Likewise the sexual partners of the infected person should also be tested for this infection and treatment should be taken. Using a condom during oral sex is particularly useful in preventing this infection.
